A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the third-party results provider. Our servers do not retain a copy of those queries. A message sent to us contains only the information included in that message and is used to respond.
Automatic Technical Data
Hosting records ordinary technical logs, such as IP address, browser type, viewed pages, and timestamps. We review this information in aggregate for service upkeep and page-use trends. Cookies or comparable tools may be used for basic analytics or advertising measurement where applicable.
How Limited Data Is Used
The limited data supports operation, problem diagnosis, traffic measurement, and page improvements. We do not sell lists of visitors or create individual visitor profiles.
External Services and Links
Links point to government portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search services. The policy of the receiving service governs information submitted there. That includes sponsored search results supplied by another company.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Hosting and support providers process server logs for us. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. Disclosure otherwise occurs only when required by valid legal process.
Safeguards and Retention
The reference uses an encrypted connection, and logs are retained only for the purposes stated here. There are no accounts, passwords, or visitor profiles maintained by this site.
Visitors Under 18
The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor submitted information so it can be removed.
Your Privacy Choices
Depending on where a visitor lives, privacy rights may include access, correction, deletion, or opt-out requests. New Jersey’s Data Privacy Law, P.L. 2023, c.266, took effect January 15, 2025 and includes statutory exemptions for publicly available and state-held data. Because we keep little information, a request normally involves checking the contact mailbox and server logs. Use the Contact page. Government records held by New Jersey, Bergen County, or Bergenfield are controlled by their custodian, not by this reference.
